PHILOSOPHY

And that from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is Christ Jesus.   - 2 Timothy 3:15 -

We believe that Jesus Christ should be at the center of all that we do through action, word and deed. Students are trained to follow the model set by Jesus Christ. We believe each are called by God to lead others to Christ, and to use their gifts, talents and abilities for God’s glory (Colossians 1:18, John 1:17, Colossians 3:17, I John 3:3,7). We believe that all learning should be meaningful and fun. Giving children opportunities to explore and experiment to help them become independent and capable initiators of their own learning. Children should actively involve in their own leaning and we believe that the process of learning is more important than only the result. The core values and goals that we use to uphold our philosophy are as follows:

• Biblically-based Stewardship and Accountability.

• Developing and maintaining a positive self-image in each child.

• Developing the growth of each child physically, socially, creative, cognitively, emotionally and spiritually.

• Ministering as an extension of the family so that the home and preschool can work side by side for the    

       benefit of the child.

• Facilitating learning through play

• Creating a trusting and predictable environment

• Emphasizing “process” rather than “result”

• Using positive language

• Helping children make a balance of choices

• Creating a “child-centered” program that evolves from the interests of children as well as successfully planned and implemented curriculum

• Cultivating curriculum that is continuously developed and revised to provide for a variety of developmentally appropriate experiences for children.
